The Send/Receive feature of VisiQuick must be configured to work seamlessly.

VisiQuick uses MAPI to send and receive e-mails (containing data with photos and patient information).
Only a few e-mail programs support MAPI:

VisiQuick uses MAPI in this way:

If you have a file visiquik.vqd in any e-mail, it is normally possible to simply double-click it to have it imported in VisiQuick.
The first time you should probably associate the file type *.vqd with c:\visiquik\visiquik.exe.

The file visiquik.ini has a few settings that affect MAPI:

[MAPI]
User="MS Exchange default profile"
Password=

If you use MS Exchange, the User field should contain the name of the profile that you use. The Password field can be empty. If you leave the User field empty, Exchange will ask every time what profile you want to use to send/receive the message. The profile name that Exchange suggest can be entered in the User field. Then Exchange will no longer ask for it.

If you use Eudora Pro, you can leave both these fields empty.

Dialing

Depending on the way you already use your e-mail program, you might want to let the modem connection time be as short as possible.
You might want to let Exchange or Eudora Pro only dial the Internet host when actually sending/receiving e-mails, so the telephone line is used as little as possible.
